Local Highlights
Trinity supports organizations in the Middle East with services in environmental consulting, capacity development, environmental management and planning, greenhouse gas emissions management, and software. Since the mid-1990’s, Trinity has supported clients in the region from the oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, electric generation, and general manufacturing industries. We have also supported environmental regulatory agencies in the Middle East through our capacity development activities. Highlights of our experience are described below.
Environmental ConsultingTrinity has assisted numerous organizations in the Middle East regarding industrial air quality issues. A few of our most recent projects include the following:
- Trinity is assisting gas and petrochemical companies in Qatar with greenhouse gas inventorying and reporting required under the auspices of Qatar Petroleum’s Accounting and Reporting (GHG A&R Program) Initiative. Trinity has deployed several staff for on-site work related to data collection, data validation, and creating comprehensive calculators for computing GHG components such as carbon dioxide and methane
- Trinity completed an air dispersion modeling analysis using the CALPUFF Modeling System with mesoscale model (MM5) data. The analysis consisted of determining ambient Ground Level Concentrations (GLC) for sulphur dioxide emissions from a refinery in the Middle East. The MM5 data was developed for the project in-house through a coordinated effort between Trinity’s BREEZE software division and Trinity’s environmental consulting staff.
- In Saudi Arabia, Trinity has recently completed an accidental release modeling project wherein forty plus “accidental scenarios” were analyzed for their impact on ambient air
- We are assisting facilities in Qatar with development of internal greenhouse gas management policies and its incorporation into their comprehensive Environmental Management System program
- Trinity is assisting petrochemical facilities with assessment of impacts from vapor overpressure blasts on on-site structures and personnel
- Trinity has completed several dispersion modeling studies using BREEZE AERMOD in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait in support of Environmental Impact Assessments for proposed new fertilizer, oil refining, gas processing, and electric utilities
- We are assisting an Oil and Gas client with a first of its kind Human Health Risk Assessment in the Middle-East

BREEZE is the market-leading air dispersion modeling software used by environmental professionals worldwide. For more than 25 years, Trinity Consultants has provided air dispersion modeling software for environmental and safety professionals. In 1983, Trinity introduced its first PC-based version of the the U.S. EPA's mainframe dispersion models, followed in 1987 by the creation of the BREEZE family of products. In 1994, the first Windows versions were introduced, streamlining set-up time for users. Over the years, the BREEZE team has continued to enhance functionality and features of its products and has added new dispersion modeling software products to the BREEZE family. Today, over 4,000 professionals in 70 countries use BREEZE software to assess the impacts of air emissions, fires, and explosions.
