Trinity Expands in the Middle East with New Qatar Office

Following the opening of its first Middle Eastern office in Bahrain in April 2011, international environmental consulting firm Trinity Consultants has opened its second office in the region in Doha, Qatar. Trinity’s office in Qatar allows the firm to work more closely with clients locally in Ras Laffan, Mesaieed, and Dukhan Industrial Cities.

Jay Hofmann, Trinity’s President/CEO commented on the firm’s growth in the region saying, “We have made great strides in the Middle East over the past 18 months, assisting industrial clients on issues such as greenhouse gas emissions management, EH&S management information systems, air dispersion studies of industrial pollutants, and environmental training. As environmental policies in the region continue to develop, Trinity is pleased to assist local organizations with optimizing their environmental performance.”

Trinity’s Middle Eastern operations are led by Arun Kanchan, a Principal Consultant and 22-year environmental veteran. Mr. Kanchan previously managed Trinity’s U.S. operations in New Jersey, Dallas, and southern California. He has a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology, a Masters degree in engineering management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Mr. Kanchan noted, “Beyond its commitment to environmental protection, Qatar is a leader in climate change accounting and reporting programs amongst the GCC nations. In addition to our consulting work in Qatar, we believe that the professional environmental training that Trinity is able to provide will help equip local industry with the education they need to maintain this leadership role as the nation embarks on its Qatar National Vision 2030 with its special emphasis on environmental protection and sustainability. We are unique in that we offer a valuable blend of environmental consulting, environmental management information systems, on-site placement of experts, and training for a market that needs exactly these types of services.”

Trinity Consultants executes over 2,000 environmental consulting projects annually, primarily focusing on air quality regulatory issues affecting industrial facilities.
