South Carolina Stormwater Permit

On September 1, 2016, SC DHEC issued revised General NPDES Permit No. SCR000000 for the discharge of stormwater from industrial activities (excluding construction).  Facilities covered under the General Permit are not required to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to maintain coverage under the permit, however, the re-issued permit includes changes to benchmark monitoring, inspection requirements, and industrial sector-specific requirements.  Facilities covered under General Permit No. SCR000000 should review their Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) to ensure that it complies with the provisions of the 2016 revisions.  The re-issued General Permit as well as a summary of the major updates to the General Permit can be found here.
