Complimentary Luncheon: The New Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule

US EPA published the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Final Rule on November 28, 2016.  This regulation affects all hazardous waste generators regardless of size, in any industry or geographical location governed by the United States.

This rule includes over 60 substantive changes to the RCRA generator requirements (40 CFR 262) but affecting all sections of the hazardous waste rules.  EPA intends to improve generator compliance without increasing regulatory burden, but the large number of individual changes will create compliance headaches for generators as they transition from the old requirements to the new.

Seminar topics
Our seminar will cover all the new requirements and will discuss how to utilize the new conditional exemptions for episodic generators, VSQG consolidation, and ignitable/ reactive waste storage.  We will also delve into the ways that this new rule highlights long-standing and often misunderstood EPA policies, addressing potential compliance issues that may be brought to light as states adopt these new rules.
