Jason Schmitz_webJason Schmitz joined Trinity earlier this year as Principal Consultant to lead the firm’s Washington, DC office. Jason’s unique background includes nearly two decades of experience as a regulator and in consulting as well as significant expertise in implementing EH&S management information systems (EMIS). DC area clients are already enjoying Jason’s great technical and project management skills and their impact on completing projects on time and within budget.

With respect to regulatory compliance, Jason has managed many projects related to air permitting, compliance reporting, and multi-media audits. He also has broader environmental performance expertise with respect to environmental benchmarking, sustainability metrics development and tracking, climate change issues, and enterprise energy management. And, he has developed strategies to integrate all of these issues using EMIS/EMS technologies. Jason has detailed knowledge of leading software systems and has led enterprise implementations within numerous industrial sectors including chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, power, steel, paint, and aluminum.

After earning his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, Jason began his career with the Maryland Department of the Environment, eventually moving into consulting to work more closely with the regulated community.
