Gena Driscoll is a Managing Consultant on Trinity's Chemical Sector team, operating out of the Birmingham, AL office. She is a recognized leader in NESHAP, NSPS, and LDAR expertise in the SOCMI industry. Gena has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and more than 25 years of experience working on both sides of compliance, first as a regulator and then, for 18 years in the SOCMI chemical industry.
Gena believes it is essential for operations and environmental personnel to partner together to develop successful permitting and compliance strategies that “work” for real world operations. According to Gena, “The SOCMI industry deals with a massive web of complicated, technical regulations and standards from every governmental arm imaginable - whether it be US EPA, OSHA, FIFRA, or Homeland Security, to name a few. Wherever possible, I strive to help clients thoughtfully integrate compliance requirements into existing site policies and procedures to minimize the administrative burden and complexity of compliance requirements on operations personnel. As the complexity of multiple compliance systems is simplified, eliminating “add on” programs and often unnecessary redundancy, compliance goes up and operations personnel buy in and take ownership of the program.“
