John E. Hofmann, a 15-year veteran of the company, has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Consultants, a nationwide firm specializing in regulatory compliance and environmental management. In the last few years, Mr. Hofmann has served Trinity as Vice President of Consulting Operations and as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has also been a member of Trinity’s Board of Directors since its 1997 inception. Mr. Hofmann has substantial consulting experience and is an authority on Clean Air Act regulations, source impact assessments, air pollution control technologies, and environmental management systems. In addition, he has completed process development work for an air pollution emission control process used in oil refining operations.

Mr. Hofmann earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He also received an M.S. degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Arizona and has participated in executive business training at Dartmouth. In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Hofmann has taught Trinity’s nationally recognized short courses on Clean Air Act regulations, including the flagship class, NSR/PSD Workshop, and the popular Introduction to Air Quality Regulations course. He has also taught state regulatory classes in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
