Dr. John Wilcox, a tenured air quality specialist, has joined Trinity Consultants as a Managing Consultant in Atlanta. With 20 years of environmental experience, John has completed a wide range of industrial work including multimedia regulatory permitting (air, water, solid and hazardous waste), compliance assessments, due diligence audits, and environmental management information system development and implementation. He has also performed phase 1 due diligence audits, provided expert testimony on regulatory and air pollution control issues, and completed Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) certification projects. John has been extensively involved in Resource Report 9 preparation (air quality and noise impact assessments) for FERC certification projects associated with natural gas storage and transmission facilities, including a current project for several natural gas storage facilities to be built in the southern U.S.

John is knowledgeable about industrial air quality programs including Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), state implementation plan (SIP), and Federally Enforceable State Operating Permit (FESOP) requirements. He has performed emissions estimates, reporting, and planning, as well as dispersion modeling, air pathway risk assessments, negotiation of consent orders, technical and economic feasibility studies, and emissions control technology selection.
John has served a variety of industries both domestically and abroad, including automotive, petroleum, chemical, energy, heavy and light manufacturing, forest products, solid waste disposal, wastewater treatment, healthcare, and more. Prior to joining Trinity Consultants, John worked as a scientist and has managed engineering and consulting groups. With his diverse background, John brings new resources to Trinity’s consulting team in Atlanta. At Trinity, John is particularly looking forward to building strong client relationships.
