2013 Alabama Air Regulatory Update Conference

Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) in collaboration with the Air & Waste Management Association Alabama Chapter held a one-day conference in Montgomery, Alabama on October 3, 2013. The air regulatory update conference covered various topics including an overview of ADEM, Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) and Department of Natural Resources at City of Huntsville, an update on air quality standards, enforcement issues and emissions/permit fees.

The presentations also provided a review of important regulations like New Source Performance Standards (NSPS Subpart IIII) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) Subpart ZZZZ, for stationary internal combustion engines, and the Boiler Maximum Control Achievable Control Technology (MACT) rule.
