The transportation sector accounts for 50% of greenhouse gas emissions and 80 percent of smog-causing pollutants. Governor Brown has set a target of 5 million zero emission vehicles by 2030 to meet California's clean air standards and climate goals. This initiative includes a new eight-year rebate for zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) and clean fuels charging and refueling stations. This $2.5 billion initiative will help bring 250,000 vehicle charging stations and 200 hydrogen fueling stations to California by 2025. Grant programs are available for developing an alternative and renewable fuel station network.
