The California Air Resources Board (ARB) is amending its Cap and Trade Rulemaking, designed to reduce greenhouse gases and achieve AB 32 goals.  The amendments will include extending provisions of the Program beyond 2020, broadening the program through linkage with Ontario, Canada, and clarifying certain compliance obligations.  Click here for ARB's draft staff report with an updated public review schedule.  This includes a draft of the formal regulatory package submitted to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) on July 19, 2016.  OAL may revise the package on August 5; to be posted on ARB's Cap and Trade webpage.  ARB anticipates receiving public comments from August 5 through September 19, 2016, with ARB Board Hearing on September 22-23, 2016.  There will be continued stakeholder engagement from October 2016 through March 2017, culminated in a second ARB Board Hearing to vote on the proposed amendments March 23-24, 2017.  For Cap and Trade questions, please contact Steve Walters at (949) 567-9880 ext. 118.
