On January 31, 2019, the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District (YSAQMD) hosted a public workshop for this rule project. YSAQMD has uploaded a draft staff report, draft rule language, and the workshop presentation to their website. The rule project focuses on Rule 2.27 for boilers, with the main point of discussion being a reduction in NOx standards and the reduction of the applicability standard from 5 MMbtu/hr to 1 MMBtu/hr rated head input. Any facility with one or more boilers permitted by YSAQMD will be added automatically to the mailing list for this project. Any facilities without current YSAQMD boiler permits that would like to be added to the mailing list for this project can send their name and address to Paul Hensleigh, YSAQMD, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The public hearing for the regulation updates is expected to be held in April.
For any questions regarding the proposed changes for Rule 2.27 for boilers, steam generators, and process heaters, please contact Denise Monahan, Trinity Consultants, at (916) 273-5154 or email@example.com.
