The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) is requesting public comments on a draft of its Wildfire Mitigation Plan for the PM2.5 Sacramento Federal Nonattainment Area (which includes Sacramento County, the eastern portion of Yolo County, the northwest portion of Solano County, and western portions of El Dorado and Placer Counties). The plan outlines actions that the air districts within the nonattainment area will take to notify the public and minimize the air quality impacts when air quality is expected to exceed the 24-hour PM2.5 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). Written comments must be received before 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 and should be submitted to:
