Certification of Connecticut's Nonattainment New Source Review Program

On January 24, 2017, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) issued a notice of intent to revise its State Implementation Plan (SIP) by certifying the state Nonattainment New Source Review (NNSR) Program.  The certification, which is required under 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 51.1114 and 51.1105, demonstrates the NNSR program addresses required elements of the moderate nonattainment designation under the 2008 ozone NAAQS and retains elements related to prior more stringent designations.

Comments on the proposed SIP revision must be received no later than 4:30 PM on February 28, 2017.  The CTDEEP will also hold a public hearing at 1:00 PM on February 28, 2017.

Additional details regarding the proposed SIP revision and public hearing as well as how to submit comments can be found here.
