Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) announced plans to initiate stakeholder fee increase discussions for three environmental programs in 2020: water, hazardous waste, and air.

The Water Protection Program most recently increased fees in 2015 and has scheduled a series of seven stakeholder meetings in 2020 to discuss fee increases, which are anticipated to go into effect January 2023. The first meeting will be held on February 10.

The Air Pollution Control Program will kick off their fee increase discussion at the Air Program Advisory Forum on March 26. Air program fees most recently increased in 2016.

The Hazardous Waste Program passed an emergency fee increase last year that will cover 2021 and 2022 only. They are now initiating the formal stakeholder process for fee increases anticipated to go into effect in 2023, with the first meeting scheduled for February 25.
