House Bill 2241 (HB3341) amends the Illinois Environmental Protection Act to revise the definition of "Stationary Source". Stationary source is currently defined as any building, structure, facility, or installation that emits or may emit any regulated air pollutant listed under Section 112(b) of the Clean Air Act (CAA). HB3341 intends to clarify that the emissions from an internal combustion engine used for transportation purposes or from a non-road engine or non-road vehicle that are at/in a building, structure, facility or any installation are not included as part of stationary source.
The HB3341 was sent to the Illinois Governor's office for final approval on June 24, 2015 after it was passed by both houses. More information on bill can be found on the Illinois General Assembly website.
