Annual Compliance Certifications (ACCs) for sources holding Clean Air Act Permit Program (CAAPP) permits are due to Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) on May 1, 2015. Facilities should be sure to review and include all CAAPP permit conditions including permit requirements or conditions related to insignificant activities, overall source and emission unit specific, general, standard, state specific, additional Title I and other related requirements. The construction permits that have been issued since the last update to your facility’s CAAPP permit should also be reviewed as part of the compliance certification. Annual Emission Reports (AERs) are due to IEPA on May 1, 2015. By now, subject facilities should have received their forms in the mail from IEPA. More information regarding AERs can be found at the IEPA website.
Illinois RCRA Hazardous Waste Reports for Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) must submit a $500 annual fee with their report which is due on March 1, 2015. The instructions for submitting this report can be found at the IEPA website.
The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions report which is to be submitted per the requirements of the Mandatory Reporting Rule (MRR) is due for electronic submittal using Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPAs) electronic GHG Reporting Tool (e-GGRT) on or before March 31, 2015. For the reporting year 2014 it is required to report the Confidential Business Information (CBI) using the Input’s Verification Tool (IVT). The information entered into the IVT will not be published online. It is also required to go back and fill in the IVT data for RY2010 through RY2013.
Other key reporting deadlines include:
- Tier II Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory Report is due on March 1, 2015; and
- Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) is due on July 1, 2015.
