2018 Reporting Reminders

  1. Tier II Hazardous Chemical Storage Reporting is due March 1, 2018 for facilities storing subject chemicals over threshold planning quantities.  Reporting instructions can be found on IDNR's Chemical Inventory Reporting webpage. OSHA has revised its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) by adopting the United Nations Globally Harmonization System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) and a fact sheet detailing these changes can be found at Fact Sheet: Technical Amendment - Revisions to Hazard Categories for Tier II Reporting, which affects the Tier II hazard categories for the reports due March 1, 2018.
  2. Biennial RCRA Hazardous Waste Reports are due March 1, 2018 for Large Quantity Generators. Forms and instructions can be found at EPA's Hazardous Waste Report: Instructions and Forms.
  3. Title V facilities' Annual Compliance Certification (ACC), Semiannual Monitoring Report (SMR), and Emission Inventory Questionnaire (EIQ) are due March 31, 2018. Forms and instructions for the ACC and SMR are on the IDNR's Title V Compliance/Certification webpage. EIQ forms and instructions are available on the Title V Permit Forms & Instructions webpage under the Emissions Inventory tab. Alternately, SLEIS can be used for EIQ electronic reporting.
  4. U.S. EPA's Greenhouse Gas Mandatory Reporting Rule reports are due March 31, 2018 for subject facilities. Reports must be submitted through U.S. EPA's electronic Greenhouse Gas Reporting Tool (e-GGRT).
  5. Annual hazardous waste fees must be submitted by April 15, 2018 for Small Quantity Generators, Large Quantity Generators, and anyone that treats, stores, disposes of, or transports hazardous waste. Forms and instructions are available on the IDNR Haz Waste Fees webpage.
  6. Minor Source Emission Inventory Questionnaires (MSEIQs) are due May 15, 2018 for emission year 2017 for minor source facilities in the west section of Iowa (Field Offices 3 & 4). MSEIQ forms and instructions are available on the IDNR Minor Sources webpage.
  7. U.S. EPA's Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reports are due July 1, 2018 for facilities manufacturing, processing, or otherwise using subject chemicals over threshold quantities. Reports must be submitted through U.S. EPA's electronic TRI-MEweb application.
