IDNR is extending the comment period for the proposed 567 IAC 17 Compliance and Enforcement Chapter (was 9A, now 17) to August 16. Comments were originally due April 23, and a public hearing was also held on that date. The goal of the proposed regulation is to achieve consistency amongst field offices and formalize current guidance. IDNR is working on developing example guidance document(s) and will be scheduling additional public hearings and outreach programs across the state. Schedule and locations fo the meetings will be annouced later this month.
IDNR has extended the comment period for the proposed changes that would eliminate the Iowa-specific stack testing methods (the Compliance Sampling Manual), adopt the federal reference test methods, and codifying stack testing requirements (i.e., performing compliance tests at 90% or more of the equipment's rated or permitted capacity) to July 3, 2012. Comments were originally due May 18, and a public hearing was also held on that date.
