 - IDNR expects the nonattainment New Source Review rules to be effective January 15, 2014.

 - IDNR is looking at recommendations for designations for the 2012 PM2.5 annual NAAQS standard (12 ug/m3).  IDNR plans to recommend attainment or unclassifiable for all areas except for Muscatine, which has a monitor exceeding the standard based on 2010-2012 data.  IDNR may revise once obtaining complete 2013 data.

 - IDNR is proposing to adopt several new NESHAP/NSPS as well as to rescind several categories of sources that do not (and are not expected to) exist in Iowa.  A summary of the proposed changes is located on the IDNR website.  Comments are due by December 6, 2013.

 - IDNR is looking at establishing a separate rural background value for 1-hour NO2 modeling.  The current value of 75 ug/m3 is based on Des Moines/Davenport urban data.  A separate rural value may be about half the urban value.

 - IDNR expects to propose a rural value and establishment of rural vs. urban area designations by end of 2013.  Public comments will be solicited.

 - IDNR is considering additional funding options to cover provided shortfall.  Input is being solicited from stakeholder groups.
