IDNR has proposed an air quality rulemaking that will:

 1) Adopt recent federal amendments to three existing air toxics standards and two existing new source performance standards (NSPS), which will provide regulatory benefits for stationary engines, gasoline distribution, and plating and polishing;

 2) Adopt two new National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs) affecting (1) paint and Allied Products operations and (2) Aluminum, Copper, and other Nonferrous Foundaries; and

 3) Make clear that the Department is not adopting specific federal standards and amendments that EPA is reconsidering.

The DNR will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 16, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the DNR's Air Quality Bureau conference rooms at 7900 Hickman Road, Suite 1, Windsor Heights, Iowa. Comments must be submitted by 4:30pm on July 16, 2012.  For more information, visit IDNR's website.
