KDHE requires written waste determinations for every waste stream generated at your facility, with the exception of general office trash. Keep in mind that Safety Data Sheets and analytical results (TCLPs, metal composition data, etc.) are not sufficient waste determinations by themselves as these documents do not typically state whether the waste is hazardous or non-hazardous. Waste Profiles from transportation contractors are also inadequate without sufficient supporting information. More information regarding waste determinations and an example waste determination documentation form are provided in KDHE Technical Guidance Document HW-2011-G1 available on the KDHE website.

Trinity has experience preparing Waste Management Plans to document waste determinations for your facility. Interested? Contact Taylor Wilson at (913) 894-4500.
