Ready for reporting season? Tier II reporting is required for any hazardous chemical substances for which your facility has 10,000 lbs or more on hand at any one time during the calendar year. Extremely hazardous substances (as specified in 40 CFR 355) trigger Tier II reporting if your facility has equal to or more than the threshold planning quantity or 500 pounds, whichever is lower. Tier II reports for 2018 are due by March 1st, 2019.

Beginning in 2019, Kansas is expected to incorporate the newer OSHA physical and health hazards listed in the table to the right - these hazards should be addressed in Section 2 of your facility's safety data sheets. Additional guidance on identifying these hazards can be found on OSHA's website .
