The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) is accepting comments on the annual ongoing sulfur dioxide data requirements rule report through June 15, 2020, before submitting the report to EPA by July 1, 2020. The report documents actual reported SO2 emissions from the six sources in areas of the state designated attainment for the 2010 1-hour SO2 standard and assesses whether the modeling analyses should be updated using the actual emission levels. The updated modeling analysis would be used to determine their ongoing attainment status with respect to the 2010 standard.

Based on the assessment of the six sources, MDNR recommended no additional modeling for the six sources. Four sources reduced SO2 emissions from 2018 to 2019 and two increased emissions from 2018 to 2019, but the increased emissions from the two were less than the decreased emissions from the remaining four sources. The full report is available for review, and comments can be submitted to apcpsip@dnr.mo.gov.
