Beginning in 2020, the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE, formerly NDEQ) will require all air emissions inventories to be submitted electronically through the online State and Local Emissions Inventory System (SLEIS). If you are new to SLEIS or have a large facility, be sure you get a head start. Some highlights of the program have been included below to help your facility make a successful transition in 2020:

  1. The SLEIS User Profile form must be completed and submitted via mail to NDEE to register for an account
  2. All facility information must be imported into the program for first-time SLEIS reporters, including details on release points, control devices, emission units, and unit processes
    1. Some information may be pre-populated by NDEE based on previous submittals, and this should be reviewed for accuracy
  3. Confidential information will not be accepted via SLEIS; NDEE requires submissions containing CBI to continue to be submitted in hardcopy form along with the NDEE confidentiality request form
