If you are a Title V facility in New Jersey, look out for the CY2016 Title V emissions fee invoices. This fee will be calculated based on the actual emissions you reported to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in the Annual Emission Statement (that was due May 15, 2017). Major facilities (subject to N.J.A.C.7:27-22) will be charged this fee based on their reported CY2016 actual emissions of VOC, NOx, CO, SO2, and the highest of TSP, PM10, or PM2.5.
Based on the adjustments to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) relative to the 1989 CPI, the NJDEP has finalized a 1.99% CPI increase, resulting in an annual emission fee of $119.56 per ton of regulated emissions. The Department will be mailing these invoices within a week.
You can also view your invoice (and download a copy) electronically here by entering your NJDEP Air Program Interest number. Online payment options (including Credit Card payments or e-Payments) are available upon logging to your NJDEP Online account.
