Ohio EPA recently released an electronic document search function on their website. Under Ohio’s public records law, citizens have the right to view the public records of offices such as Ohio EPA. Initially, Ohio EPA is only providing noncompliance documents since January 1, 2007. Moving forward, more public records will be uploaded and will be searchable. It is the hope of Ohio EPA, that this new feature will improve efficiency, reduce cost, and improve public access to public records.
