See the latest EHS federal and state regulatory updates due to COVID-19

Environment and Climate Change Canada posted a notice amending the reporting of greenhouse gases (GHGs) for 2019 and a notice with respect to the substances in the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) for 2018 and 2019, which extends the deadline for submitting these reports for the 2019 calendar year from June 1, 2020, to July 31, 2020.

Note that the quarterly and annual reporting deadlines for Benzene in Gasoline Regulations and the Renewable Fuels Regulations continue to apply to all regulated parties. Despite COVID-19 impacts, reports and auditing requirements by independent third-parties are currently in effect for the May 31, 2020 (Benzene in Gasoline) and June 30, 2020 reporting deadlines. While federal reporting is still in effect, some provincial reporting, such as in the province of Alberta, has been extended.
