Issued under 54(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, the Codes of Practice carry out the Government of Canada's mandates related to reserving the quality of the environment. Specifically, this updated code of practice, was developed in consultation with the Gov't of Saskatchewan and New Brunswick and made available September 2017. It provides recommended practices, including the development and implementation of best practices to control and minimize emission of PM2.5 for the potash sector using most recent data from ten (10) potash facilities in Saskatchewan and one (1) in New Brunswick.
