See the latest EHS federal and state regulatory updates due to COVID-19

On September 23, 2019, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) published proposed regulations to create a Climate Resilience Fund of $5,000,000. The funds will provide grants to Governmental and Non-profit entities for restoring and improving the climate resilience of vulnerable coastal habitats, as well as river and stream floodplains with specific priority to projects that improve community resilience and public safety. The regulations outline the application and the review and award process, including eligible project categories and eligible/ineligible costs.

The rule making notice and the text of the proposed regulation can be viewed here. The comments on the proposed regulation may be submitted to the RIDEM by October 23, 2019. Comments sent via standard mail should be addressed to:
