EPA is proposing to conditionally approve a portion of the State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the state of Tennessee through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). The proposed plan exists to comply with the obligations of the Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) SIP Call with respect to certain sources. Additionally, EPA is proposing to approve the removal of the SIP-approved portions of the State's Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) Program, and to remove regulations related to a previous NOx trading program.

Comments on the proposed plan must be received on or before January 16, 2019. For more information, please visit the "Air Plan Approval: Tennessee; NOx" website.
