The 2015 TCEQ Emissions Inventory Workshop took place on January 14th and 15th in Austin, TX. The workshop stressed the importance of Emissions Inventory (EI) Web reporting and benefits associated with its use. Beginning in reporting year 2015 (due March 31, 2016), submittals of annual EI updates and initial EIs will only be accepted through the State of Texas Electronic Emissions Reporting System (STEERS). Paper submissions will no longer be an option. Therefore, if a company is not using STEERS, it is encouraged to use this current reporting year as a chance to familiarize oneself with the process of submitting electronically. The workshop also covered the following topics: basic Web-EI reporting, supporting documentation, common reporting challenges, emissions and inspection fees, challenges in the determination of storage tanks emissions, VOC calculations of common sources, and challenges in the reporting of combustion sources.
