On October 22, 2014, Subchapter J was adopted into Chapter 101 under Title 30 of the Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC), providing provisions for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to implement an expedited permitting program. The expedited permitting program became effective on November 13, 2014, and applicants with new and pending applications now have the option to request expedited processing of the air permit application. All state and federal air permits under 30 TAC Chapters 106 (Permits by Rule [PBRs]), 116 (Standard Permits and Case-by-Case Permits), and 122 (Title V Permits) are currently open to expedited processing requests. Expedited permitting requests for PBRs and standard permits that do not require public notice must be made through the ePermits process.
