The Utah Division of Air Quality (UDAQ) is implementing an online method of emissions inventory submittals for the 2017 reporting year. The emissions inventories are due by April 15, 2018. UDAQ is using the State and Local Emissions Inventory System (SLEIS) which is an established secure program already being used successfully in other states like Arizona and Arkansas. SLEIS will replace the previously accepted paper forms, PDF files, spreadsheets, etc.
UDAQ has sent letters to most facilities require to report their emissions inventory for 2017. As it is a Triennial reporting year, even smaller facilities that are located in Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, or Weber Counties and that have the potential to emit 25 tons or more per year of any combination of oxides of nitrogen, oxides of sulfur and PM10, or the potential to emit 10 tons or more per year of volatile organic compounds are required to report.
UDAQ will be holding two training sessions on February 26th and 27th from 9:00-11:30am and 1:30-4:00pm at their facility. These sessions will also be recorded. SLEIS will be opened the first part of March. For more information check out the DEQ website.
