Environmental Site Assessment in Ontario

Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) focus on gathering and quantifying potential risks. These assessments involve collection and analysis of soil, groundwater, air and other samples from a site to determine compliance with published regulatory land use standards. ESAs are used to support real-estate transactions, and to assess historical information about specific sites. This course will describe the significant differences between a Phase I (CSA) vs Phase One (MOECC); Phase II (CSA) vs Phase Two (MOECC); and Site Remediation. Selecting the wrong assessment can potentially create significant constraints resulting in lost time and higher costs.
